The Story of a Sweater Recycler

My sister's (Karen and Kris) and I recycle previously owned sweaters. We go to thrift stores find quality sweaters - go home and wash them in wool wash - then we "frog" them. You can't find merino, cashmere, silk etc. yarns at that price! Some sweaters we keep for our own projects (I come from a long line of knitters) or we sell them on Ebay. We sure aren't getting rich! But we do save enough money up for a little shopping trip to Detroit once in awhile. We're starting to get a good reputation on Ebay as we have been doing this now for over a year. The above pics are sweaters that we have frogged and have since sold - the first pick is of a bronze silk, the next one is a blue cotton cashmere mix and the last one is a purple, pure cashmere.

Right now we have some on Ebay here are the links - go check them out!
Recycled Yarn - 100% Merino - Black
Recycled Yarn - 100% Cashmere - Charcoal
Recycled Yarn - 100% Silk - Deep Lilac

And that is the story of a sweater recycler!
